Content Policy
A question published on SwingFactor can be read and challenged by anyone signed in. What is published is written by the people in the workspace that published it, not by SwingFactor. This policy sets out what may be published, what we do when something should not have been, and how to tell us. It applies alongside the Terms of Service.
What may not be published
- Anything illegal to publish in the United Kingdom, or that promotes or facilitates a crime.
- Threats, harassment or abuse directed at a person or a group.
- Personal information about a private individual — an address, a phone number, health or financial details — that the question does not need.
- Material you do not have the right to publish, such as another person’s copyrighted work reproduced at length.
- Claims about an identifiable person or organisation that you know, or ought to know, are false.
Claims about people and organisations
Evidence on SwingFactor records who asserted it and any interest they declared, so a public question will often attribute claims to named people and organisations. When you publish one:
- Attribute a claim only to someone who actually made it, and link or cite where they did.
- Record a claim as the claim it is — an estimate as an estimate, an interpretation as an interpretation — rather than as established fact.
- Keep to what the question needs. A person’s conduct is relevant where it bears on the decision; their private life is not.
- Leave room for correction. Anyone who can read a published question can challenge any part of it, and a challenge from the person or organisation concerned deserves a response on the record.
Reporting something
To report a published question or a challenge, email support@swingfactor.ai with a link to it, the part you are concerned about, and why: that it is illegal, that it harasses someone, that it is a false statement about a person or organisation, or something else. If you are the person or organisation concerned, say so.
What happens next
We read every report and look at the content it points to. Depending on what we find, we may take no action, ask the workspace that published it to correct it, make the question private, remove the part concerned, or restrict the account responsible. We tell the person who reported it, and the workspace concerned, what we decided and why, and we keep a record of both.
Content that appears to be illegal is taken down while we look at it. Where the law requires us to report something to the authorities, we do.
Appeals and complaints
If content of yours was removed or restricted, or you disagree with what we decided about a report you made, reply to our decision or email support@swingfactor.ai and say why. We will look at it again and tell you the outcome.
